Welcome to Automotive Test News

From January 1999 through June 2004, I was the editor of a publication that was first called Automotive Test Report and later Automotive&Aerospace Test Report. I left that publication, not because I got tired of covering automotive test, but because I felt limited in what I could cover. The number of pages of editorial in a trade magazine, for example, is limited, by the number of ads the sales force could sell.

Well, after being away for a year, I’m ready to jump back in, and what you’re reading now—Automotive Test News—is what I’m jumping back in with. I hope that this format, a “blog,” will allow me to cover more things the way I want to cover them. Perhaps more importantly, I’m hoping that this format will be more useful to you, the reader.

I want to encourage you to e-mail me with suggestions, questions, comments, and complaints. We’re all in this together.
