Vibration Test System Produces 100 Grms of Force

November 8th, 2005

The new Hanse 6DoF vibration test system produces 100 Grms of vibration force for accelerated stress testing of products. This is twice the force generally available and allows larger product loads to be tested for reliability and/or production screening while markedly reducing air consumption per Grms by 50%.

The system consists of a specially designed table with pneumatic actuators underneath. The system can generated up to 100 Grms over a frequency range of 10 to 10,000 Hz in three axes and rotational about each axis. The energy is largely contained below 4,000 Hz for excellent low frequency response.

For HALT and HASS testing, the vibration systems are installed in specially designed environmental chambers capable of temperature change rates of 70°C per minute. The chambers have a temperature range from –65 to 200°C. Humidity is also available as an option.

Eight standard models of the vibration test systems are available, ranging in size from 1 to 36 square feet. They are available as:

  • turnkey HALT/HASS system with rapid thermal cycling,
  • standalone vibration test systems,
  • retrofit upgrades of Hanse’s existing HALT/HASS Systems or those of other HALT/HASS manufacturers, and
  • new HALT/HASS test systems from Hanse’s partners.

The vibration table and exciters are unconditionally warranted for 3 years. For more information, call John Sexton, Sexton Corporation at 616-335-8290 or visit the Hanse Environmental website.
