Tools Automate Powertrain Testing and Calibration

Atlas MBD is a model-based development environment for automated powertrain testing and calibration. This environment includes tools for specific testing functions, including test automation, model-based mapping and optimization, and distributed I/O. A related tool, Helios IPM, provides Web-based, test lab monitoring capabilities.

Atlas MBD provides integrates the powertrain test bed system and the optimization system. The modular design allows test engineers to implement an entire model-based testing process, or to select specific tools to integrate easily into an existing system. The model-based mapping and optimization tool can be integrated as an upgrade to the process at any time. When integrated with the A&D CAS combustion analysis system, the ASAP3 interface allows for both steady state and transient calibration.
