Australian Test Track Upgraded Sensor Measures Relative Humidity and Temperature

Tester Measures Impact Properties

April 3rd, 2008

The Instron Dynatup 9250 will help engineers evaluate the mechanical properties of materials and components by measuring energy absorption and related impact properties of polymers, metals, and composites.

The Dynatup 9250 drop tower features Impulse®, a complete software and electronics package designed specifically for impact testing. The company claims that, unlike most competing instruments, the Dynatup 9250 captures, plots and analyzes the entire impact event. This enables the user to determine important characteristics such as incipient damage, ductile-to-brittle transition point, maximum load, and total
energy absorbed. In addition, Instron’s Dynatup 9250 has the capacity to test materials in extreme temperatures and is available with a specimen feeder option for high through put testing.
