DynoSim, the engine simulation software that enables performance enthusiasts to find the best component combinations for and engine product, is now available from SAE. The product costs only $150 and helps casual and professional engine builders design domestic, sport compact, street, or racing engines.
Users can perform simulations with a wide variety of components and fuels. Using these models, the software will calculate the gas dynamic, thermodynamic, and frictional physics of virtually any four-cycle internal-combustion engine, determining horsepower and other engine characteristics.
DynoSim is popular among professional and weekend racers, engine and component designers, and educators. The software helps them identify the best part combinations, tests performance with alternate fuels and nitrous oxide injections, test carburetors, and calculates engine pressures.
The software is also available with the option ProTools kit, which extends the functionality of many of the software’s features, including modeling of engines with shorter strokes and smaller bores. This kit also enables users to customize tests and includes more powerful data analysis capability.
To order, visit the SAE website, email customerservice@sae.org, or call 877-606-7323 or 724-776-4970.
