Podcasts Recap LXI China Meeting

August 23rd, 2007

A series of podcasts has been posted on the LXI Consortium website that provide insights into the present and future status of LXI in China. The podcasts were recorded at the LXI General Meeting in Beijing, China, held last month.

The podcasts are available in both English and Chinese and a link to the podcasts can be found on the Consortium’s home page. Topics include:

  • Bob Rennard, president of the LXI Consortium, gives an overview of the Beijing meeting and encourages organizations to join the consortium.
  • Zhang Rong Chun from system integrator Acery answers the question: “Would you require 100 percent availability of LXI instruments to start LXI system adoption?”
  • Jiu Guang Yi from The Aircraft Institute discusses the key end-uses of LXI in China.
  • Professor Fu from the Harbin Institute of Technology describes how LXI technology will grow in engineering classes in China.
  • Jianping Cui, Deputy Publisher of the Journal of Electronic Measurement and Instrument and a member of the China LXI Committee, discusses where he thinks LXI will be positioned in China in the future.

Additional observations from the LXI Marketing Team are also included.

More than 150 product developers and system integrators gathered last month at the first LXI Consortium event held in Asia. This is nearly twice the high of previous meetings, which were held in other countries. Attendees heard presentations in two technical tracks: “How to Develop LXI Products” and “How to Implement LXI Technology.”
