PC Scope Inputs Isolated to 300 V

November 15th, 2005

Until now, engineers have been concerned about the risk of damage to their expensive PCs when using PC-based oscilloscopes which have no galvanic isolation between the probe input and the USB output. Damage can occur where either the PC or the target are not at the same potential (usually ground). The USBscope50’s unique integrated Cat.II 300 V isolation virtually eliminates this risk.

The USBscope50 comes with its own software, and Elan Digital have been working on the evolution of the application software to enhance the user experience as well as developing strategies to increase the overall performance as well as the look and feel of the product. A downloadable demo version of the latest USBscope50 software is available online.
