SupplyChainReview.Com reports:
Holden’s Lang Lang proving ground, south east of Melbourne, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week.
The 877-hectare site was Australia’s first automotive testing and development complex and has been the testing ground for every Holden from the FC to the recently released VE ute.
The Holden website has this interesting bit about the proving ground:
The Lang Lang proving ground is home to a remarkable array of animal, plant and bird life. A comprehensive flora and fauna study undertaken by Holden personnel documents sightings of 53 bird species and lists a population of native animals and reptiles that includes koalas, wombats, echidnas, kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots, bats, snakes and lizards. The plant life index - shrubs, trees, ferns, wildflowers, ground cover and orchids - identifies 140 different specimens.
