Force Sensors Designed for Automotive Component Durability and Life-Cycle Testing

May 18th, 2007

New sensors from PCB Piezotronics are well suited for multi-cycle, high repetition automotive and component test applications. The dynamic quartz force sensors are extremely rigid, allowing high repeatability and over range protection required for automotive and component testing.

The ICP and charge output sensors cost-effectively measure compression, tension and impacts encountered in life-cycle, durability and fatigue testing; impact, drop and crash testing; structural and modal testing; and penetration and fracture analysis. A variety of configurations and ranges are available, including ring, three-component ring, link, impact, penetration, and strain styles.
