Optical Link Allows EMC Testing of FlexRay ECUs

July 26th, 2007

The TTTech Automotive TTX-Optical Link is a compact device for electrical decoupling of FlexRay bus signals during EMC testing. It converts FlexRay-signals to optical signals via fiber cable and vice versa. With its shielded housing and built-in accumulator it fulfills all the requirements to run EMC tests for FlexRay based systems. Therefore it allows full access to the FlexRay signals using common FlexRay analysis tools.

The architecture of TTX-Optical Link makes it perfectly suitable as a decoupling device for system monitoring. Signals can be transferred over long distances without effects on the existing networks.

Due to its bidirectional character it supports both sending and receiving of data. TTX-Optical Link features an accumulator for 24-hour continuous use and fulfills the requirements of the ISO 11452 2 and CISPR 25 standards.
