New Name for Cincinnati Lamb

September 2nd, 2005

Automotive assembly and testing system provider Cincinnati Lamb Assembly & Test has announced that it has been renamed CL Automation in keeping with a change of focus in the company’s business strategy. Following the firm’s recent acquisition by Maxcor’s MAG Industrial Automation Systems, company executives hope to broaden its scope to include markets outside of automotive manufacturing such as aerospace, heavy equipment, and consumer segments.

A provider of assembly products to the manufacturing industry for nearly 40 years, the company began operation as Rockford Automation in Rockford, Illinois. In 1990, it was acquired by Lamb Technicon and operated as Lamb Assembly & Test, specializing in automotive projects. For the past two years under the Cincinnati Lamb brand, the company has also worked on aerospace projects. Last month, for example, CL Automation received two orders from a prime supplier to the 787 Dreamliner Program.

Along with the new name, CL Automation has introduced a new logo. Complete information on the company’s products, services and capabilities can be found at its new web site.
