March 17th, 2006
Today, I got an email newsletter from VXI Technology. In it, they describe their “Corporate Technology Awareness Seminars.” Here’s what it says:
VXI Technology launched a series of technical seminars in January 2006 with engineers and managers from across the industry attending at both private and public venues. The seminars focus on the advantages that Open Hardware and Open Software Architectures can provide for your existing and future test system designs, and will continue to be offered throughout the year.
Attendees learn how LXI (LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation) leverages the most popular communications platform in the world to provide solutions for your most demanding functional test and mechanical data acquisition applications. Hands-on demonstrations will provide an opportunity to become familiar with the technology and terminology behind today’s most popular hardware and software independent environments.
This must be costing them a bundle. In March and April alone, they are going to hold these seminars in nine different cities.
This is an example of a company making an extra effort to help their customers stay current with the technology, and I hope it pays off for them. Efforts like this can help the entire industry.
