The LXI Consortium hosts their second PlugFest event August 23-25, 2005 in Portland, Oregon. Manufacturers will bring a variety of prototypes to test instrument compatibility and interoperability. They will be testing essential functionality, such as LAN and Web interfaces, 1588 Precision Time Protocol, and the Hardware Trigger Interface. The event will also include a general membership meeting as the consortium prepares to release Version 1.0 of the LXI Specification, on schedule, in September 2005.
