CAN Product Guide

CAN in Automation (CiA) has published the CANopen Product Guide 2006 on the Internet and on CD-ROM.

The number of product listed has again increased compared to the previous year. A total of 322 (vs. 295 in 2005 and 228 in 2004) CANopen-specific products are listed. and provide a comprehensive overview of the world of CANopen products. This shows that CANopen products are being used in many different kinds of applications and that its usage as “embedded network” per se has increased.

Devices are listed by the application, such as off-highway vehicles, railways, trucks, etc., and by functionality, such as controller, actuator, gateway. The products, which also include CANopen software, literature and services, can also be looked up by their name or by their manufacturer’s name. As a special service they are also listed by their conformance to the CiA device and application profiles.

Extensive information on worldwide sales and technical company contacts are included in a company-specific section. Information on CANopen, the standardized embedded network, and on the CiA device and application profiles is also provided. The CANopen Product Guide will be distributed at national and international fairs as well as exhibitions and also at CiA training events worldwide.
