Automotive EMC 2006
The venue for next years Automotive EMC 2006 Conference has been moved to co-locate with the National Electrical and Electronics Directives Show (NEEDS 2006) and the Drives and Controls 2006 exhibition at the NEC on the date originally planned of 17th May 2006. Proposed Amendments to the Automotive EMC Directive 2004/104/EC
Mainly relating to updating the references to ISO standards, but there are one or two other small changes. Although it appears that the closing date has passed, if anyone spots an error or has other corrections to make, there is a forthcoming CATP on 7th October when this could be raised via your national representative body.

Costs Reduction by Synergy
EMC Test NRW GmbH (Dortmund), service provider for EMC testing, and AKUVIB – Engineering and Testing GmbH (Bochum), service provider for acoustic, environmental testing, vibration and simulation, have signed a cooperation contract. Both companies hope for synergistic effects as they have the same customer groups and testing requirements. www.emc-test.de
